Is Public Speaking Your
Number One Fear?
Come to a Synergist club meeting and find out how valuable Toastmasters is with helping you overcome your fear. A typical Toastmasters meeting consists of prepared speeches, a Word of the Day, a joke or humorous story, extemporaneous speaking called Table Topics, and Speech Evaluations. Our evaluations are designed to be helpful, not hurtful.
As Toastmasters, we learn valuable leadership skills by taking on roles within the club. This helps us in the work place and beyond.
Come join us for a meeting and see why Toastmasters is an effective way to learn public speaking and leadership skills.
The Synergists Celebrate 30 Years
The Synergists celebrated their 30th anniversary on March 4, 2009 at a special luncheon held at India Palace in Chelmsford. The event included several guest speakers: Hank Fitek, a founding member, Chris Lowe, former District Governor of District 31, and Doug Sheadel, current Division B Governor. Member DeAun Twogood presented a short history of the club. Ray Gatti, Past President of the club, presented Julius Francis, President with a new club banner.
The Synergists was founded in 1979 as a club within Digital Equipment Corporation. The club survived mergers with Compaq and Hewlett Packard and moved to Littleton, MA. When the Littleton facility was closed, the Synergists moved to Alcatel-Lucent in Westford. The club moved to its current location, Juniper Networks in 2008.
